Mad Men, cover of Rolling Stone

They shot 60,000 pictures, developed 9,600 prints and then again shot over 1,800 pictures. And apparently without any post production!
“Eunoia is the shortest word in English containing all five vowels – and it means “beautiful thinking”.
Now we both know.
Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: Steve Carell from Between Two Ferns
This tune reminds me of my freshman year of high school… listening to this on a mixtape on my Sony walkman…on bus trips to soccer games. Pretty rad flashback.
and my boy Jose Con Queso passed this along….i’m with Charlie, come out and play, kick up the puddles.

I applaud the cultural ambition these guys had to make a scene happen, starting with the Ferus Gallery.
“The Cool School” is about a lot of things — L.A.’s seminal Ferus Gallery, curator Walter Hopps, Ed Kienholz’s landmark “Back Seat Dodge ‘38” and the influence of custom-car culture on highbrow art. Mostly, though, it’s about creating something out of nothing, which is how a handful of artists established a Los Angeles art scene in the late ’50s and early ‘60. (so says John Anderson from Variety).

With the Netherlands in the World Cup final against Spain, I went searching on the FIFA and Sports Illustrated websites to find videos of my favorite goals of the tournament (like that upper 90 blast from outside the 18 by the Netherlands against Uruguay). I didn’t have any luck but I did stumble upon Sports Illustrated’s “Female Fans of the World Cup”. GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL !!!!!!

Six months and a day after I made my way into this world Bruce Springsteen released his album “Nebraska”. I stumbled upon Justin Townes Earle’s version of “Atlantic City” from that album courtesy of A.V. Club series “undercover”. Me likes, and thinks you will too.
Note: It’s sponsored by Budweiser, so sit tight thru the short 15 second commercial in the beginning.

Lyrics
Well they blew up the chicken man in Philly last night now they blew up his house too
Down on the boardwalk they’re gettin’ ready for a fight gonna see what them racket boys can do
Now there’s trouble busin’ in from outta state and the D.A. can’t get no relief
Gonna be a rumble out on the promenade and the gamblin’ commissions hangin’ on by the skin of its teeth
Everything dies baby that’s a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Put your makeup on fix your hair up pretty and meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Well I got a job and tried to put my money away
But I got in too deep and I could not pay
So I drew what I had from the Central Trust
And I bought us two tickets on that Coast City bus
Everything dies baby that’s a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Put your makeup on fix your hair up pretty and meet me tonight in Atlantic City
Now our luck may have died and our love may be cold but with you forever I’ll stay
We’re goin’ out where the sands turnin’ to gold so put on your stockin’s cause the nights gettin’ cold and maybe everything dies
That’s a fact but maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Now I been lookin’ for a job but it’s hard to find
Down here it’s just winners and losers and
don’t get caught on the wrong side of that line
Well I’m tired of comin’ out on the losin’ end
So honey last night I met this guy and I’m gonna do a little favor for him
Well I guess everything dies baby that’s a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Put your makeup on fix your hair up pretty and meet me tonight in Atlantic City
