Radiohead: singing and dancing
Yeah, Radiohead has gotten crafty again in the way they promote and distribute their album. The lead single, Lotus Flower, has Thom dancing and hand clapping by himself…well, him and his hat.
I also learned of live show they did in Prague where the audience members recorded it. The first tune from the show was 15 Steps. Speaking of which, if you haven’t seen the audience shot concert of The Beastie Boys at Madison Square Garden, you need to.
Upstate NY winery: Red Tail Ridge
Last weekend I went with Renee and my Gram to a wine tasting at the Savvy Wine Cellar in Camillus, NY. One of the wines was from a relatively new, forward thinking winery called Red Tail Ridge. The video above talks about the winery.
We picked up a bottle of their Good Karma wine (review) which a portion of proceeds go to Foodlink. Foodlink’s mission statement is to build a hunger-free community and sustainable regional food system in which every individual has access to nutritious food and is empowered with the tangible skills to lead a healthy and productive life.
Maybe your home is The Cave
This is Mumford & Sons cool official video (above), for their tune, The Cave, then them playing the Grammy’s this year. Then the Avett’s play (also worth watching), before Bob Dylan comes out to sing Maggie’s Farm. I like the original, but you can press “stop” on the YouTube video player once you see him step stage.
Proud member of the Polish Home

A few months back I joined the Syracuse Polish Home. It’s a few blocks from my house and is right down the street from my grandparents first house they owed upon moving to the United States.
Today in the mail I received the 2010 December issue of the Polish Home newsletter. The president of the Polish Home starts the newsletter thanking people to who donate time and money in keeping the Polish Home kept up so nicely.
In the last paragraph he gives thanks for the genorosity of the Polish Home members for their contribution to a fund in memory of his grandma who recently passed away at 96 years old.
What did they put the money towards? Scholarship fund?? Nope. Bar stools. Fuckin’ fantastic!
Party at Ferris
Last night Amy and Mike hosted a party at their new place on Ferris. Cool house built before the turn of the century, and Mike was spinning some jazz/ reggae stuff that even Tommy the Turtle could dance to. I haven’t got any photos to share, but I have this to bridge the gap. Thank Ferris.
