PHOTO: John Carl Photography

I was bumming around notcot.org this evening and came across a post about photographer, John Carl. On his site he has photos of bands that he is working with. At one time I fancied myself to be a photographer, maybe tour with a big band, document life on the road, maybe in my off time photograph a wedding every now and again for friends (or friends of friends)….
I was actually on that path at one time. Yes my friends, it’s true. My senior project in college was a photo gallery showing my own work, put on by me and some help from my friends. It featured images of Willie Nelson, Medeski, Martin and Wood (MMW), Robert Randolph, Keller Williams, Matt Nathanson, JFJO, BB King, among others. I sold a couple prints (that was a rush like no other).
Now, I miss photography, but I’m not the photog that always has a camera on me, and I’m not the kid that feels the strong desire to have 5 shots of the same people with no real change in facial gesture and body language (small rant, not sorry).
The reason I posted the two images from John Carl are because they demonstrate exactly what I like in a girl. Cute one second, and the next second, not afraid to let her hair down (and her guard, but not necessarily her chastity belt…not right away anyway).
