I’m not familiar with that song that everyone in Brazil seems to know, but spend any time outside of the USA and you’ll see how other countries celebrate their homeland with songs and chants, like those you’d hear at a soccer game abroad. Chicago was also a candiate city for the 2016 games. I bet they lost bc all they could sing was Kanye West, Wilco and Smashing Pumpkins (natives to Chicago, if you didn’t know)…..not to say that’s a bad thing. I’d personally like to hear a stadium full of people sing Kanye’s “The Good Life”.
