SYRACUSE, NY: Westcott Street Fair

LOCATION: Syracuse, New York
This afternoon I made my way to the Westcott Street Cultural Fair. It’s an annual, one-day celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of the Westcott neighborhood through its culture: visual and performing arts, food, service organizations and activities geared to families and Syracuse and LeMoyne students returning to the neighborhood. The fair attracts more than 8,000 people annually to the Westcott Business District in mid-September for a day filled with great sounds, sights, tastes and more.

UPDATE: The next day I returned to Westcott to have a bite to eat and do some reading at 2nd Story, an independent bookstore & coffee shop. It’s cool to know that there is a hip little place to grab some grub and relax with a view of Westcott Street.
